Passed away peacefully on July 3, 2018. Irene MacDonald of Wasaga Beach formerly of Elmvale in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late George MacDonald (2003). Dear mother of Wayne and Marlene MacDonald and Diane and Stephen Miller. Loved grandma of Rebecca MacDonald (Chad Townsend) and Daniel MacDonald. Proud great grandma of Caleb. Sister of Fran (late Gerard) Moran, Mary O’Neill (late Walter Hall), Shirlie (late Verle) Priest, late Christopher (Brenda) MacDonald, late Joseph (Mary Lou) MacDonald, late Basil (Cheryl) MacDonald, Mercedes (late Doug) Bannerman, Margaret Russell and Ursula (Grant) Davidson. Sister-in-law of late Mary Cambray, Allister (late Violet) MacDonald, Donald (Grace) MacDonald, Earl (Lorraine) MacDonald, and the late Dennis, Robert MacDonald and Florence Martin. Irene will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and family.
Visitation will be held at the Lynn-Stone Funeral Home in Elmvale from 2-4 and 7-9 on Thursday, July 5, 2018. Funeral mass at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Phelpston on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11 am.
Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Phelpston.
Donations may be made to Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood, Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, or St. Patrick’s Church in Phelpston.
