It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mabel Page, on 30 August 2018, at the age of 99 years and 8 months.
Mabel was raised in the Oakville, MB area and resided in Portage La Prairie for more than 30 years; for the past 9 years she lived in Sherwood Park, AB with Brenda and Doug.
Mum was a strong and determined woman, both kind and generous, who overcame many adversities in life.
She loved to visit with family and friends. Mum was a great cook and baker and took pride in being a homemaker.
She was an avid card player and enjoyed the beauty of nature, especially flowers and birds.
Mabel was pre-deceased by her husband, Grenville and sons, Bill and Bryan; brothers, Wilmer, Alex, Herman and Gordon McMullen; and sisters, Edith MacDonald and Beatrice Burton.
She is survived by daughter, Brenda (Doug) Holloway; daughters-in-law, Joan Page and Audrey Page; five grandchildren, Blaine, Alana, Janet, Scott and Jason along with eighteen great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Interment will take place at a later date in the Oakville, MB cemetery.
If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Mabel’s name.
