Mabel Eleanor Jean Huskins 1939 – 2018
Mabel Eleanor “Jean” Huskins of Miramichi, NB, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the George Dumont Hospital at the age of 78. Born in Shag Harbour, NS on December 4, 1939, she is the daughter of the late John and Juanita (Adams) Goreham.
Jean was a homemaker, a past member Kinettes – Newcastle.She loved playing cards, especially 45’s as well as listening to the local music talent at Ritchie’s Wharf Park during the summer evenings.
Jean is survived by one daughter: Ardeth Huskins (Miles Webster) of Calagary, AB; two sons: Laurie Huskins (Lynn) and Derrick Huskins of Calgary, AB; one sister: Marion Kendrick (Neil) of Shag Harbour, NS; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Jean is predeceased by one sister: Nora Goreham and two brothers: Arthur and Reg Goreham.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A public funeral service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 2 PM with Rev. Colin Holmes officiating.
As expressions of sympathy in Jean’s memory, donations may be made to Lupus New Brunswick.
