Lydia Vanslyke, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at The Village Senior’s Community, Hanover on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. She was 84.
Born on September 25, 1934 in Dubno, Russia to the late Wilhelm and Locada Hoffman. Lydia was employed as a Wooden Toy builder for many years at Stock’s Wooden Toys.
Survived by loving son, Siegfried Herzig, of Hanover. Dearly missed by grandchildren Connie Catcher of Pike Bay Road, Brenda Hooey of Thunder Bay, as well as great grandchildren Connor, Rylie, and Abby. Predeceased by her husband Louis Vanslyke and brothers Alfred and Alexander Hoffman.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday, December 24, 2018 from 9 – 10 am where a Funeral Service will be held at 10 am. Rev. John Polacok officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery, Hanover.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
