Obituary of Luigi « Lou » Vozza
VOZZA, Luigi “Lou” – Surrounded by his family at Bluewater Health, Palliative Care, Luigi Vozza died on July 19, 2018, at the age of 72. Beloved wife of Sandra for 40 years. Loving father of Marco and his wife Lisa, Petrolia, Dante and his wife Heather, Sarnia and Paula and her husband Michaël Labib, Montreal. Cherished grandfather of Pria and Sienna Vozza, Gabriella and Evangeline Labib. Dear brother of Pat Vozza (Nancy), Bright’s Grove and Maria Roncone (Gino), Hamilton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Antonia and Onorio Vozza, and granddaughter, Angelina.
A caring and funny individual, Lou lived a life filled with happiness, enjoying the company of family and friends. He worked in chemical valley as a civil engineer, a proprietor and a general contractor. Always a man of his word, he upheld strong values and was known for his candor and for his generous and benevolent spirit. Family living was his pleasure as he encouraged the education of his children, their participation in sports and recreation, and later loved to travel together. He was enchanted with his granddaughters whom he called “beautiful” and “gorgeous” every day.
Friends and family will be received at McKenzie and Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St. Sarnia on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 2-4 and 7–9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Monday, July 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at Resurrection Mausoleum.
