Luc Desmarais of Montreal, Quebec, died peacefully in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 84, surrounded by his children. He leaves behind his son Alexandre (Kendra), daughter Julie (Eric Girouard), son Hector (Karmyn), son Felix (Shantel), grand-daughter Natalie, grandson Logan and several nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by family and friends as a devoted father, hard worker, lover of hiking, golfing, gardening and birding, and connoisseur of classical music and history. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Cecilia’s Catholic Church (321 90 Ave SE) on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 2:00 pm, with a time for quiet reflection preceding from 1:00 pm.
