OBITUARY
Louise Cecile Geary
January 11, 1938 – November 11, 2018
Born January 11, 1938 in Terre Noire, Cape Creton Island, Nova Scotia. Passed away peacefully on November 11, 2018, age 80 after a long brave battle with cancer. Predeceased by her devoted husband John (2013). Loving mother of Robert and wife Beverley, Heather Dupuis, John and wife Linda, Marty and wife Trish. Cherished grandma of Ryan, Greig, Evan, John Kyle, Ashley, and Tyler. Also survived by sister Lorraine, and sister-in-laws Kathleen Krayacich, Shirley Geary. Predeceased by her parents Marcellin and Aline Gallant, sisters Jeanette and Bernadette, brothers Alexandre and Antoine. Special mention to mom’s dear friend and companion Betty Weber who was with her for her many visits to the Cancer Clinic. Special thanks to Oncologist Dr. Tarek A. Elfiki and staff at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Dr. Rukavina and staff of Hospice, St. Elizabeth nurses Annie and Farah and Malden Park Palliative Unit staff and volunteers.
Mom was a faithful servant of the Anglican Church as a volunteer for the A.C.W. for over fifty years. Along with Dad she was an avid sailor, and recumbent bicyclist. She will be missed by all the friends they met along the way here in Canada and their yearly stays in Florida. Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 895 Ouellette Avenue (519) 254-3223 on Thursday from 2-4 & 7–9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Anderson Memorial Chapel on Friday November 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation. Donations made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre and Hospice of Windsor and Es County would be appreciated by the family.
