Peacefully, surrounded by family at Toronto General Hospital. Beloved husband of Franca (nee Iozzo) for 28 years. Cherished father of Alexander and Matthew. Dearest son of Vittorina (nee Rorai) and predeceased by his father Giovanni. Will be dearly missed by his siblings Sonya (David Duffy) and Bert (Antonette), his nieces and nephews, the Iozzo Family, and extended Duria Family, especially all his cousins and lifelong friends.
Louis had a successful career of 24 years as Senior Analyst at Unilever Canada followed by a happy but all too short retirement. Those who were fortunate enough to have known and loved Louis know he was a loving, kind and very generous friend and relative. Louis was well read, very informed, and had a truly keen mind. He will be remembered for his love of travel, the Canadian outdoors, and his appreciation of sports and culture. He was a gentle soul who was the centre of his family. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto (north of Rexdale Blvd.), on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
