Louisa Vizza (Cundari)
VIZZA, LOUISA
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Louisa Vizza (nee Cundari) at the palliative care department of Health Sciences North on Thursday, August 23rd, 2018.
She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, who had just recently celebrated her 87th birthday. She was predeceased by her loving husband Franco Vizza in 1967. Loving mother of Alberto and Maria (husband Fred Ellero) both of Sudbury. Cherished Nonna of Frank (wife Natalie), Rob (friend Claudia), Nadia (husband Cortez) and Marco (wife Sarah) and Bis-Nonna of Cordano, Tessa, Mikayla, Lucca, Noah and Milano. Her passion was cooking for any and all who sat at her table and working in her garden, harvesting the fruits of her labor. She loved her family, her neighbors, her friends, and all her relatives here in Sudbury, in Italy and in Belgium. We would like to especially thank Dr. Theresa Mirka and the staff at Health Sciences North for their attentive care of Louisa and Gerry Lougheed Jr. and the Lougheed Family and Staff for their warmth, care and assistance in remembering and celebrating Louisa’s life.
As per her wishes, there will be no public visitation.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Parish in Gatchell, 19 Mary St., Sudbury on Monday, August 27th, 2018 at 10:30am followed by a light lunch in the basement. (Friends may gather at the church after 10:15am Monday). Interment will be at the family plot at the Sudbury Roman Catholic Cemetery.
Donations to St. Anthony Parish are welcomed.
