It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Louis Joseph Carrier on Wednesday, September 19th 2018 at the Notre Dame de Lourdes in Bathurst, New Brunswick, following a battle with dementia.
Born in Belledune on March 2nd, 1942, he was the son of Leo and Rosella (Gray) Carrier. Louis is survived by his wife Audrey (Guitard) Carrier, sons Jimmy (Lana), Timmy (Nicole), Michael, Mark (Susie) and daughter Amy Joy McDonnell (James). He was the grandfather of Mariah, Brandon, Andrea, Steven, Kayla, Justin, Travis, Shaylyn, Abigail and Calleigh as well as the great-grandfather of Winrey, Will, Jack, Finn and Archer. He was pre-deceased by his siblings Godfrey, Arnold, Garfield, Lyle, Vivian, Freda, Corneilla, Merle, Danny, Ronnie, Pearl, Bella and daughter-in-law Karen Anne. He is survived by his siblings May, Theresa, John and Gary.
He was a pipe fitter by trade for many years and a councillor for the Village of Belledune for 13 years. He loved his vegetable garden, horses, Sunday breakfast with friends, and Country music. Most of all, he loved time spent with his Family and playing his guitar.
His Funeral will be help at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Belledune, NB on Tuesday, September 25th 2018 at 11 am. Funeral Arrangements are in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home, Black Point.
