Peacefully on June 2, 2018, at Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg, MB, Lorraine Sandra Charbonneau passed away at the age of 70.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Marie (Boulet) Vermeire, her sisters, Julia Hutlet and Clara DeJaegher, her brother Marcel Vermeire, her in-laws Aime DeJaegher, George Verdonck, Lionel Hutlet, Rachel Vermeire and Annette Charbonneau.
Lorraine is survived by her husband Roland, daughter Michelle (Roy) Thompson, Don (Crystal), and four grandsons, William, Alex, Emmett and Ayden. She also leaves to mourn her sister Isabel Verdonck, sister-in-law Jeanette (Robert) Cherlet, brothers-in-law Gilbert (Doreen) Charbonneau, Robert Charbonneu and Alan Charbonneau.
Lorraine was born on May 2, 1948 in Swan Lake, MB. She married Roland in 1968 and they raised their family in Somerset, MB. In 2004, they moved to Winnipeg and enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren. She loved watching the boys play their many sports and spending quality family time at the lake.
The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Johnson, the nurses and caregivers at Concordia Hospital, and the doctors and nurses at Cancer Care for all the excellent care and support through the last few years and weeks.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Timothy Parish, 135 John Forsyth Rd, Winnipeg on Monday, June 11, at 10:30 am with Father Chrys Agu celebrating. Interment will take place at a later date at the Somerset Cemetery.
