Obituary of Lois Shelton
SHELTON- Lois (CAMPBELL) – It is with heavy hearts that we announce Lois’ passing in her 61st year as she returned to her heavenly home surrounded by family on February 15th, 2018, after a fierce battle with cancer. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. Predeceased by her parents, Verne and Evelyn Campbell, brother Douglas Andrews and nephew Kevin Pilon. Lois is survived by sister Marilyn Pilon (late Maurice) and sister Terrie Nantais (Tom). Beloved Auntie to Chris Pilon (Janine), Deron Pilon (Patti), Jody Roy (Mike), Melissa Nantais (Dale), Christine Andrews (Kenny), Tim Andrews (Darlene); Great Aunt to Desiree, Chase (Avery), Jessica (Lee), and Ryan (Jess) Pilon, Kelsy (Malik), Callie, and Erin Roy, and Allyce and Ava Andrews. Lois held a very special place in her heart for her great, great niece Kiara Dailey and her beloved canine companion Tara. Lois was born and raised in Port Colborne, and had a strong love for her community and fellow neighbours. Lois worked for the District School Board of Niagara for 27 years spending the majority of her career at Eastdale High School in Welland. Thank you to Dr. Scher and the Palliative Care team at Douglas Memorial Hospital for their kindness and consideration during this journey, the St. Elizabeth Personal Support Workers, the team from Walker Family Cancer Centre and Desiree, Jan and family for their care and support. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Saturday, February 24th from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow in the Davidson Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Internment at Overholt Cemetery.
