It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Romilda Lisanti (nee Santucci). She passed away peacefully on December 19, 2018 with her husband by her side. She was born in Forino Italy and immigrated to Canada as a young woman in 1961. Romilda and Gerardo met soon after and married in September, 1963. Their family grew with the birth of their daughter the following year. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Gerardo of 55 years, her daughter Maria, son in law Allen and grandchildren Cole and Jenna, along with many other family members. Romilda always had a smile to share and lived with a positive attitude. One of her greatest joys were the times her and Gerardo spent with their grandchildren sharing many wonderful memories as they grew up. They loved to hear her stories and never missed an opportunity to be in the kitchen with her. Her love, patience and devotion will be missed but we know that she is our guardian angel now to watch over and protect us. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Murray, Dr. Tuvel, and all the staff at KLH for their kindness and care shown for Romilda. We would also like to thank family members for their support and love these past few months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation. The family has requested for privacy during this time and appreciates your thoughts and prayers.
