Born on February 21, 1944 in Victoria, BC, Linda passed away peacefully on April 20, 2018, in Saanichton, BC.
Linda was pre-deceased by her brother, Stephen; parents, Eric and Muriel Porter; and brother-in-Law, Alan Coppin. Linda found the love of her life Michael, and they were married on June 29, 1963. Together they celebrated life with their four children, family and friends. Mom will be deeply missed by her husband of 54 years, Michael; children, Michele (Robert), Christine (Thomas), Christopher (Amanda), Natasha (Blu); grandchildren; sister Sharon Coppin; family and friends.
A Celebration of Linda’s Life, will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 am at St Elizabeth’s Church, 10030 Third Street, Sidney, BC, with the Rev. Rolf Hasenack OP, officiating. A Reception will follow.
Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Linda’s memory, to either the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Palliative Care Unit (ww.sphf.ca) or the BC Cancer Society.
