Peacefully, while surrounded by her family, passed Sunday, February 4,2018 at Grey Gables Nursing Home, Markdale at the age of 70. Beloved wife of 48 years to Ronald. Dear mother of Nadine Thompson of St. Catherines and Les Thompson of Dartmouth, NS. Sadly missed by her mother Betty Price of Markdale and father the late Gordon. Loved and remembered by grandchildren Sydney and Marissa Thompson. Dear sister of Lana Amaley of Stroud, Larry(Darlene) Price of Napean, Randy Price of Georgetown, Rodney Price of Markdale, Robbin Warren of Toronto and sister in-law of Dorothy Anderson(Gerry Bartley) of Markdale. She will be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Linda was born in Guelph, ON, educated in Etobicoke and taught in Etobicoke, Waterloo, Moosonee and Nipigon before settling in Markdale where she raised her family along side her husband Ron. She was passionate about the United Church, having held many positions in the local church and Presbytery as well as within the Toronto Conference of the United Church. She was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star having been Worthy Matron of Grey Chapter #170 twice. She loved travelling, knitting, cross stitch and was very active in sports, especially in her younger years. Linda will be greatly missed by many friends, neighbours and her church family.
The family will receive friends at Annesley United Church, address, from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00pm. Cremation has taken place. Spring interment Greenwood Cemetery, Georgetown.
