Mrs. Lillian Frances Greene was born on March 9, 1922 in Germantown, Albert County, NB. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Emily (Melanson) O’Connor and the wife of the late Richard Greene.
She was a lifetime member of the Air Force Club in Moncton, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sus Branch # 20 and St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church.
Lillian was passionate about staying active and enjoyed being in nature. She took pleasure in meeting with her card club and loved playing cribbage. And was very proud of the fact that she was dealt the perfect hand just before her 95th birthday.
She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her children: Anita Léger (Georges) of Dartmouth, NS, Daniel Greene (Brigitte) of Willow Grove and Keith Greene (Dot) of Courtenay, BC; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lillian Frances Greene of Sus passed away at the Sus Health Center on April 12, 2018 at the age of 96.
Along with her parents; She is predeceased by her husband, Richard; her brothers: Bert, Roderick and Carlton; her sisters: Mary, Bernice, Miriam and Zeta.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus NB (506-433-1176).
A Celebration of Lillian’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Monday, April 16 2018 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Lillian may be made to the St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church or to the memorial of the donor’s choice. Condolences to the family and donations may be made through WallaceFuneralHome.com
