Passed away at The Village of Tansley Woods, Burlington, on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Thompson (2007). Google Maps Thompson (Jennifer), Blake Thompson (Ashleigh), Amy Waters (Adam), Bryn Truelove, Jenna Truelove, and great-grandmother of Andy, Claire, Owen, Emma, and Benjamin. Survived by her sisters Lorraine Anderson, Alberta Howard, and Doris Thornington. Lillian was a resident of the Waterdown area since the 1940’s, and she was a strong member of the community. An active member of St. James United Church where she served on the UCW, and will always be remembered for her pies she made for Rotary Club events. She was someone who put service to others above herself, working as a candy striper in her early years, helping her husband Doug with their Greenhouses, selling flowers at the market, and volunteering for the Red Cross.
Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at KITCHING, STEEPE, & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 10:30 a.m., until the time of Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. Reception to follow.
In memory of Lillian, donations to the World Vision Canada would be appreciated by the family.
