With great sadness, we announce the passing of Levi ‘Buddy’ Kendrick James Lafford on Thursday, September 20, 2018.
Born December 8, 1995 in Sydney, he was the son of Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Lafford and the late Pamela Ann Doucette, Eskasoni.
Levi was a member of Holy Family parish, Eskasoni. He was a talented musician and was proud to practice his traditional native ways. He also loved playing games. He attended the Canadian Armed Forces program and was an ABMHS graduate of 2013. He was known for his beautiful smile and his loving kindness.
He loved his nieces and nephews. Levi is survived by his father Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Lafford; companion Tiffany Herney; brother Judd Lafford; sisters Lynn Lafford (Nick), Abegail Lafford (Cory), Winter Lafford, Keanna Lafford (Maynard) and Hanna Gould and sister-in-law Carol Cabot and nephew Bryan Cabot. Loved by nanny Mary C. Francis and grandfather Abraham Doucette; godparents Barbara and Eddie Joe; godchildren Keira Lafford-Cabot, Baby Doug, Nikaylynn Lafford, Marissa Sark-Johnson, Odessa Lafford and 3 nephews and 9 nieces. Loved by many friends, family, uncles and aunts.
He was predeceased by his mother Pamela Doucette, grandparents Levi Lafford and Anna Jean Johnson and Sarah Mae Doucette; uncles Karl Lafford, John Duncan Doucette, Keith Doucette and Fabian Francis.
Visitation for Levi Lafford will begin Thursday, September 27 after 7 pm at the Eskasoni Gabriel Center. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 29 at 10:30 am at Holy Family Church with Fr. Angus MacDougall officiating. Interment in Holy Family Cemetery, Eskasoni.
