Obituary of Lester Shoalts
SHOALTS, Lester passed into the presence of Christ on January 11, 2018 in his 88th year surrounded by the loving care of family and staff of Portal Village Retirement Home. He was the beloved husband of Gladys Jean and the loved and loving father of Gerald (Linda Williams) Shoalts, Ann (Rick) Dilts, Nancy (Gary) Gazo, Todd (Kerry) Shoalts, and Lisa (Mark) Welfred. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Paula (Peter Mogl MacLean) Washington, Leah (Philippe Valet-Narjou) Erdahl, Sophia Erdahl; Alex (Janna), Gillian (Tyler Szigatti), and Greg Dilts; Amanda, Hannah, and Benjamin Shoalts; Kate and Ethan Welfred; and great grandchildren Owen and Ruby Dilts; and Ella Erdahl. Dear brother to Mary Jane Robinson, Roy (Vivian) Shoalts, Robert (Tish) Shoalts, and Nancy (Ron) Payson, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Ruth (Sentz) Shoalts, sister Doris (and brother-in-law Glenn) Marr, sister-in-law Sandra Shoalts, and brother-in-law Arthur Robinson. Lester is resting at Davidson Funeral Home, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. Family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 18, 2018, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11 am at Portal Village Bible Chapel, 309 Elgin Street, Port Colborne. Interment will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Smith Road, Wainfleet.
