With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Leonard George Patriquin, age 68, of River John, on Friday December 14, 2018 in the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Anne (Baillie) Patriquin; daughter, Crystal (Terry) Peverill, Eureka; son, Willie (Nancy) Patriquin and granddaughter, Chloe Patrquin, of River John; brothers, David & Robert Patriquin; sisters, Beverly Turple, Donna Patriquin, and Sandra Patriquin (Glen), all of River John; several nieces and nephews along with special aunt and uncle, Pidgie & Kay MacKenzie, Pictou; and cousins, Gary & Mike MacKenzie, Pictou. He was predeceased by his parents, Maisie & Lloyd Patriquin; his brother in infancy, Dewey; his sister, Carol and her husband Billy Waite (of Alberton, PEI); sister-in-law, Marilyn Reid Patriquin; and brother-in-law, Greg Turple. Special thank you to Dr. Bush and the nurses at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital for the excellent care he received while there, and to the V.O.N. nurses for the care he received at home. Cremation has taken place. As per his request there will be no visitation or funeral. His family will host a celebration of his life on Saturday January 5, 2019 from 2-4 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 108, River John.
