The death occurred peacefully at the Souris Hospital on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 of Leonard Joseph McCormack, of St. Margarets, PE. He is predeceased by his wife Velma, and son Brendon (Cherie Cheverie). He will be missed by his children Debbie Mooney (Erroll), Donnie (Dawn), and Jeanette Hill (John Stacey). Those to mourn his loss are grandchildren Glen (Natalie), Shane (Lisa), Amanda, Melanie (Adam), Melissa (Craig), Nick (Melissa), Curtis (Colleen), Courtney (Henry), Mitchell, Andrew (Katie), Chelsea, and Jordon; great grandchildren Gracie, Brandon, Rihley, Samantha, Gavin, Mia, Abby, Callie, Meleah, Nathaniel, Austin, Jorey, Darcy, Ty, Zoe, and Cooper.
Leonard is survived by siblings Patricia MacNeil (Joe), and Dailes (Faye; deceased), and sisters-in-law Freda MacCormack, and Myrtle MacCormack. Predeceased by Brothers Thomas (Martha), Alec, Terry.
The family would like to acknowledge special friend and care giver Marlene McCormac.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home with visiting hours on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 6-9pm, and Monday morning from 9:30am until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00am. If so desired, donations to St. Margaret’s Cemetery Fund, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
