Peacefully, with family by his side, at Victoria House in Orillia on Thursday August 9th, 2018, in his 99th year. Leonard Bridges, formerly of Toronto, born in London, England. Beloved husband of the late May Alice Bridges (nee: Fabian); dearly beloved father of Lesley (John Tyerman), Holly (BGen [Ret’d] Gaston Cloutier) and the late Susan (Peter Portlock); son of the late Benjamin and Beatrice Bridges; beloved grandson of the late Joseph Travers; brother of the late Reg Travers; grandfather of Sarah (Tshweu), Robin, Alex, Katie and Matthew, great-grandfather of Mookodi and Thuto. A Celebration of Life will be held at Mariposa Best Western (Hermitage Ballroom), 400 Memorial Ave., Orillia, on Sunday August 26th, 2018. Please arrive at 11:45 a.m. Celebration of Life to commence at 12 noon. Military dress: tunic with medals.
