Leo Thauvette
At the Cornwall Community Hospital on Monday, July 9, 2018. Leo Thauvette of Cornwall, formerly of Apple Hill; age 97 years. Beloved husband of Leila Thauvette (nee Quesnel). Loving father of Irene Geneau (Rene) of Summerstown Station, Lauretta Martin (Robert) of Apple Hill, Edgar Thauvette (Linda) and Leona Pilon (Glen) both of Cornwall, Jean Pilon (Andre), and Teresa Jarvo (Chris) both of Martintown, Maureeen Larocque (Ray Morin) of Cornwall, and Joanne Fraser of Green Valley. Dear sister of Yvonne Valade of Cornwall, and Mary Rose Faubert (Romeo) of Green Valley. Predeceased by one son Romeo Thauvette, by one granddaughter Lisa Geneau, by one infant grandson Pierre Larocque, by two brothers Ernest and Albert Thauvette, by three sisters Noella Carriere, Florence Harkin, and Irene Thauvette, and by his parents Raoul and Bernadette Thauvette (nee Poirier). Also survived by 25 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Friday from 9 am-10:15 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Leo a tree will be planted in a Memory Woods.
