Obituary for Lenore Thomson (Herrington)
THOMSON (HERRINGTON), IVA LENORE – of Thedford on February 15, 2018 at North Lambton Lodge in Forest in her 102nd year (June 23, 1916-February 15, 2018). Beloved wife of the late Walter H. Thomson. Dear mother of Joan Eggett, Velma Funk, Ruth Slaughter, Arlene & Al Henderson, Allen & Elizabeth Thomson, and Keith & Elaine Thomson. Cherished grandmother of Wade (Lynne) Eggett, Stephen (Debbie) Eggett, Laurel (Rob) Hammond, Brad (Moira) Eggett, Linda Williams, Marjorie Moore, Dan (Leanne) Funk, Jennifer Anderson, Greg (Amanda) Henderson, 21 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Fred & Myrtle Herrington, brothers Ted (Hazel) Herrington, Don (Mable) Herrington, sister Marguerite (Ivan) Richter, sons-in-law Norman Eggett, Jake Funk, and Don Slaughter. Lenore lived her life on her parents farm south of Arkona till May 1936 when she married Walter and came to live on his farm west of Thedford for the next 46 years before retiring to Thedford. Resting at Gilpin Funeral Chapel in Thedford for visitation on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 2-4pm. Funeral Service on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 11:00am at Knox Presbyterian Church in Thedford. Interment at Pinehill Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Christine O’Reilly officiating. Memorial donations to the charity of choice gratefully acknowledged.
