Forever In Our Hearts
On April 12, 2018 Lawrence Hohl of St. Albert, Alberta passed away at the age 74 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joan; his two sons, Tod (Carrie) Hohl of Sherwood Park and Jeff (Rachel) Hohl of St. Albert; four precious grandchildren, Marlize, Kate, Jaida and Joshua; sister, Bertha (Roy) Plant of Mississauga, Ontario; sister-in-law, Iris Hohl of Teulon, Manitoba; brother-in-law, Steuart Beattie of Salt Spring Island, B.C.; sister-in-law, Carrol Patterson of Montreal, Quebec; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Gottfried and Ida Hohl; and brother, Henry Hohl.
Outgoing and caring, Lawrence loved to socialize and always enjoyed meeting new people which served him well in both his career and personal life. Lawrence retired in 2008 and found a new interest in gardening, spending most of his summers working on his yard. He was able to spend time with his grandchildren and share in their interests before health issues intervened. His life long passion for following sports remained until the end and always brought him enjoyment.
A Celebration of Lawrence’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Glenwood Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park. Friends who so wish may make donations in memory of Lawrence to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, #590, 1212 31 Avenue NE, Calgary, Alberta T2E 7S8 or a charity of their choice.
