Lawrence (Larry) Murphy
June 24, 1954 – November 25, 2018
Passed away suddenly on November 25, 2018 after a day filled with love and laughter. Left to mourn and remember are his beloved wife, Dianne (nee Quigley), cherished son and daughter, Ian (Rebecca) and Sarah (David), and treasured granddaughter Bridget. Also his sisters, Lillian, Winnie (Ed, deceased), May (Cyril, deceased), Brenda (Jim), Linda (Aiden, deceased), Sharon (Pat), Rita, Donna (Greg) and Michelle (Rick), his brothers, Brian, Ken, and Ernie, his many dear nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of family and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Tom and Sadie, brothers, Jack and Ron, and infant sister, Janet.
A loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and Pop, Larry touched many lives and will be remembered always for his kindness, humour, wisdom and wit. He loved the finer things in life – good music, good food, good company, the outdoors, and above all, his family.
In keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. His family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home at 84 LeMarchant Road from 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm on Thursday, November 29, followed by a short ceremony to celebrate his life at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
