It is with broken hearts we announce the peaceful and sudden passing of Lawrence (Larry) Dolinski. He is survived by his wife Angela (nee Brazeau), daughter Nicole, granddaughter Morgan Tanchak, brother Allen (Susan), sister in law Dale Page, Mother-in-law Clara Brazeau, sisters in law: Lorraine Medwid (Steve), Myrna Nemeth, Gail Brazeau, Anne-Marie Brazeau (Gord Klassen), and brothers in law: Leo Brazeau, Joe Brazeau, along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother Ceilia (Kolodiejchuk), father Harry, brother Rick, brother-in-law Larry Desjarlais, and sisters-in-law: Lil-Ann and Kathy Brazeau. Lawrence grew up in West Kildonan on Stardust Avenue and graduated from Garden City Collegiate and obtained a business degree at Red River College. Lawrence and Angela met in a typical Manitoba fashion at a social in May of 1979 and married two years later on August 8th 1981. He became a father to Nicole and later a grandfather to Morgan. Lawrence loved family life, motorcycles, music, good food and cottage life. He retired from Manitoba Telecom after 30 years of service working in various positions. One of those positions being: a dedicated technician at Health Sciences Centre for 14 years. The last 3 years were spent at Royal Direct. Afterward, Lawrence enjoyed 14 years of retirement in which he honed his fishing skills. Lawrence was also a master handy man, creating his own honey do lists and completing them all. Lawrence was a good, solid man who was always there to lend a helping hand. He was meticulous with every project he took on, whether it was: home renovations, building his prized Harley from the bottom up, finishing the cottage in Otter Falls, maintaining an incredibly organized garage and workshop, or keeping a ten-year-old truck that looked showroom ready… The list is endless. On occasion, Lawrence and Angela would take a well-deserved vacation and break from everyday life. Some of their notable excursions were: skiing in the mountains of Alberta and British Columbia, a Caribbean cruise, St. Thomas, and many trips to the Dominican Republic, Aruba, St. Kits, Maui and had recently planned their newest adventure in Cuba. Although he left us too soon, he left us “prepared” for life going forward. He gave us many sound words of advice and confidence of character. He truly believed that anything was possible if you put your mind to it. He will be sorely missed, never forgotten and will be brought on every future adventure taken.
