Obituary for
Lavine Dixon (nee Thomas)
On June 4, 2018, Lavine Dixon of Mayerthorpe, AB, formerly of Hinton, AB, passed away at the age of 98 years.
Lavine is survived by her companion, William Bye; daughter-in-law, Sandra Angell of Edmonton; grandchildren, Jeanot, Lorin and Kane; sister, Fern (Frank) Geinger; nephew, Ralph (Karen) and their children, Amanda (Shane), Kevin (Wendy), Kyle (Jacqueline) and Tenielle (Trent); niece, Linda and her children, Craig, Melissa, Brandon and Cassandra. Predeceased by her son, Harry; and husband, Bill Dixon; sister, Lorraine Hall; and parents, Detmer and Lila Thomas.
Thank you to the doctors and staff of the Mayerthorpe Healthcare Centre and staff of Pleasant View Lodge for their care and support.
Celebration of Life Saturday, June 23 at 2:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #126, 5111 – 45 Avenue, Mayerthorpe with Reverend Ruth Lotholz officiating. Inurnment in Mayerthorpe Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations can be made to the Friends of the Lac Ste.
