Laurel Louise Cowan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Laurel Louise Cowan on Saturday August 18, 2018, while among family members at home, in the arms of her husband, Ian Lafferty. Laurel and Ian had been together for 29 years. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all, especially by their three sons – Kyle, Colin and Cameron Cowan-Lafferty. She was the beloved daughter of Eleanor (née Turgeon) and the late Clifford Cowan and the sister of John, Jeannette and the late Paul. Thank you to Laurel and Ian’s neighbours and her Giant Tiger co-workers who kept in touch during her battle with cancer. A special thank you to the Saint Elizabeth Health Care nurses that took care of Laurel throughout her illness – even up to the moment of her passing.
