Laura Leigh Nelson
5 October , 1975 – 19 May , 2018
With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Laurie, after her battle with a lengthy illness, on May 19, 2018 in her 43rd year. Beloved wife of Gregg for 16 years. Cherished mother of Aidan, Carson and Quinn. Precious daughter of Susan McQuain. Treasured sister of Michael McQuain (Jeff Cote) and Julie Brellisford (Joe). Special aunt of Justin and Jason. Dearest daughter-in-law of Bob and Marjorie Nelson. Loved sister-in-law of Rob Nelson. Loving niece and god daughter of Brad and Susan McQuain. Predeceased by grandparents Myrrl (Papa) and Marion (Nana) McQuain, Cecil and Caroline Matheson, Clifford and Eva Nelson and great-grandma Muriel Chaloner. Sadly missed by extended family and friends. We are grateful for all those who have supported Laurie and her struggle through the years and take comfort in knowing she is now at peace. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday May 23, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm where the Memorial Service will take place on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 11 am. Burial to follow.
