The light has left my life and with great sadness I announce that the love of my life, my partner and best friend has passed away. After many years of fighting the fight against cancer with calmness, grace and good humour, Larry’s passing was peaceful and I was blessed to be at his side to give him my love and say farewell.
Larry grew up in Gibsons and always knew it was the best place to be. Early days were spent in construction and as a building contractor and then as a transit operator for Sunshine Coast Transit.
Recreation was boating, fishing (who could forget the 30 pounder off Cotton Point!), RV’ing and later on enjoying our property to the fullest and growing the best garlic around. He was a past member of the Gibsons Volunteer Fire Department and more recently enjoyed being the proud owner of a 1971 Le Mans Pontiac convertible.
Larry will be greatly missed by his sister Lynne (Hans) and her family as well as best friends and in-laws, Christine and Richard Birdseye and of course by the many friends he easily acquired over the years.
Larry and I needed lots of assistance in the last couple of weeks and we cannot thank Chris and Richard, Terry Kendall, Rob Marion and Jen Woods for all the help.
There will be a private celebration at a later date.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Larry Ennis November 5 1947 July 19 2018 (age 70).source
