1956-2018
Larry Clair Mayhew of Hartland passed away on October 31, 2018 at the
Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. He was born in 1956 in
Prince Edward Island. He was predeceased by his father Clair
Mayhew
Larry is survived by his wife Kathy Mayhew of Hartland, daughters,
Beth and Derek Stephens of New Market, Ontario, Sam and Blake Trask of
Fall River, Nova Scotia; granddaughter, Everley Trask; mother, Jean
Mayhew of Kensington, PEI; sisters, Barb Mayhew, Nancy (Jack) Moase
and Ambyr (Neil) Paynter all of Kensington, PEI; brother, Donnie
(Sheila) Mayhew of Kensington, PEI; half brother Doug (Jean) McKie of
Charlottetown, PEI; nieces and nephews.
Larry loved life. His greatest love was his family and he was
anxiously awaiting the arrival of his second grandchild. He had a
great passion for hockey and golf and was happy entertaining family
and friends with various kinds of food, especially seafood and
barbequing. He loved returning to his roots in PEI and the cottage
they have there.
At this time there will be no visitation or funeral service. A
memorial service will be held in May of 2019 at the Margate United
Church in Margate PEI followed by interment in the Margate United
Church Cemetery. The time and date will be announced in the spring. If
so desired donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a
charity of the donors choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland, NB. www.brittonfh.ca.
