Laetitia Anne (Letty) Toner
1932-2018
Letty A. Toner, wife of Gordon Toner of Harvey Station, NB passed away
March 24, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Letty was born
at Grand Falls, NB in 1932, a daughter of the late J. Ambrose and Ida
Mae (Carroll) Ryan. She enjoyed socializing with friends at
Black’s Restaurant in Harvey, Chinese food, lobster, playing
Bingo and knitting. Letty loved her grandchildren and great
grandchildren and spending time with them.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gordon Toner; her
children, Eldon Toner (Kathy), George Toner (Jennifer) and Marvena
Harris (Alfred); a son-in-law, Albert Hood; her grandchildren, Ryan
Toner (Brea), Dylan Harris, Derek Toner, Timmy Hood (Sarah) Amanda
Hood; step grandchildren, Tara Toner, Lydia Case (Mike) and Clinton
Case (Amanda); great grandchildren, Jacob and Nathan Toner; a sister,
Noreen Jolley (Alex) and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a loving daughter,
Jo-Anne Hood, a sister-in-law, Alice Harris, siblings Mildred Paradis,
Fred Ryan, Elmer Ryan, twin sister Betty Moore, Marion Mersereau,
Joyner Ryan and infants Dorothy and Charles Ryan.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3,
Harvey Station, NB on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral
service will be held at the chapel on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 2
p.m. with Rev. Kay Clowater officiating. Interment will be at a later
date in the Harvey Settlement Cemetery. For those who wish to make a
donation in memory of Letty the family has suggested the Harvey
Settlement Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice.
