April 25, 1972 – September 30, 2018
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kristine Rock. After a long struggle she died peacefully in the arms of her loving mother. Predeceased by her father, Arnold James and step-father, Charlie Warren, Kristine will be greatly missed and forever loved by her mother Bernice Warren, (nee Johnson) her brothers Michael and Daryl, her sister-in-law Melanie, her loving boyfriend Allen Seymour, her relatives from across Canada and her many two and four legged friends.
Kristine, or “Krissy” as she liked to be called, was born in Dartmouth, N.S. and moved to Ottawa as a young teenager. Always quick with a smile and a laugh, Krissy radiated a deep love that drew friends and family close together. Kristine’s warmth, captivating smile and genuine caring attitude was a gift she gave to those she loved, knew her or that she would simply meet along her journey. Even those who knew her only casually commented on her warm, inviting personality. As her family and friends we have been inspired by her kindness, generosity of spirit and boundless enthusiasm for life!
Diagnosed at age 10 with juvenile diabetes, she did not have an easy life but always found a way to focus on the positive and was forever seen with a smile on her face. Kristine loved to travel and enjoyed many sunny holidays in Cuba, South America, Florida and Las Vegas. Regardless of where she was, Kristine loved to simply spend time with friends and family, enjoying life!
Kristine had a deep passion for cats and over the years adopted several – many of whom have passed away before her. On September 30th, Krissy and her beloved fur babies reunited and crossed the “Rainbow Bridge” together. Rest in Peace dear child of God, we can’t wait to see you again.
Donations in memory of Kristine can be made to the Ottawa SPCA or the Canadian Diabetic Association.
Family and friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 150 Woodroffe Ave. (at Richmond Road) Ottawa on Wednesday October 10th from 12 noon till 1:00 pm, where a Celebration on Krissy’s life will be held in the Chapel at 1:00 pm. A reception to follow.
