Kenneth Robert Venus passed away peacefully at KGH on December 16, 2018 following a battle of COPD with family by his side. He is survived by his daughter Kelly and son Shawn, grandchildren Hailey 17, Kayla 13, Orion 12, Sisters Laura and Adel and plenty of extended family. Predeceased by his mother Joyce McSween Venus, born December 10, 1932 – passed August 29, 1976, father Robert Albert Venus, born May 3, 1924 – passed May 3, 2013, sister Brenda Joyce Venus, born Nov 29, 1963 – passed Sept 21, 2001. Kenneth was born in Calgary, Alberta where he lived until age 7, the family moved to Dawson BC then to Kelowna, BC where he made it his home. Ken was a devoted son and father, he cared for his mother until she passed away and was always there for his children. He was a hard worker his whole life driving logging or general transport. Working a lot of time in Northern Alberta and British Columbia but always returning home to Kelowna and his kids. Ken is and will be dearly missed by many people, family and friends, we will always remember and treasure the good times spent with a very good man.
