OBITUARY
Kenneth Patrick McCarthy
24 March , 1931 – 28 April , 2018
MCCARTHY, Kenneth Patrick – 87, of Dartmouth passed away on April 28, 2018 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Dartmouth, he was the son of the late Luke and Beatrice (Munroe) McCarthy. Kenneth attended Greenvale High School and St. Mary’s University. He was active in his younger years paddling for the Mic Mac Aquatic Canoe Club. He also curled at the Dartmouth Curling Club as well as golfed and was a member at the Brightwood Golf and Country Club for over 50 years and was proud of his plaque. He retired as a trade consultant with the Nova Scotia Government. Survived by son, David (Debbie MacNeil); daughter, Brenda (Barry) Wolfe; grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicholas, Jamie (Matt) Northrup, Luke and Emma; great-grandchild, Oliver Northrup. Predeceased by his loving wife Eleanor brother, Don and sister, Catherine Bodington. Private graveside service will take place in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Reception to be held from 12-3pm, Thursday, May 3rd in Brightwood Golf and Country Club. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
