Kenneth « Ken » Harold Norwood
August 5, 1931 – October 15, 2018
Our family let our Husband, Father and Grandfather go on Monday, October 15, 2018 surrounding him with love and his favourite music from years gone by.
Ken is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 63 years, Shirley (Hynes). The memories these two collected in their years together are priceless. Ken was always very prideful of his two children Brian Norwood and Linda Moran (Wayne). He loved to introduce them to people as ‘my son Brian’ or ‘my daughter Linda ». Ken took great joy in being a huge part of his two grandchildren’s, Katie Moran and Scot Moran, lives. Of course, he spoiled them and they could do no wrong in his eyes!
Ken is also remembered by his two brothers Gordon Norwood and Gary Norwood.
Ken was a Lifetime Member of the Army and Navy and Airforce Veterans Club and enjoyed many years as a partying Member of the Engineers Club. Ken had a varied carrier over the years, managing numerous business and being a co-owner in the start up of BC Belting Ltd.
Donations in memory may be made in Ken’s name to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Ken received nothing but excellent care and compassion from the Dr.’s and staff in the Abbotsford Hospital Dialysis Unit during the years he endured both hemo and peritoneal dialysis.
Ken requested that no service or informal remembrance be held.
