Kathryn Marie (Carlin) Steeves
1927-2018
Kathryn Marie Steeves, 90, of Forest Dale Home,
Riverside-Albert and formerly of Hillsborough passed
away peacefully on January 15th, 2018 at the
home.
Kathryn was born in Hillsborough on
October 27th, 1927 the daughter of the late Alston and
Frances (Steeves) Carlin. She worked at
the Moncton Hospital as a
Supervisor in the Medical Record Technician Department before her
retirement. She was a member of
the Hillsborough Baptist Church and sang in the
Silver Chords Choir. She was a member of the Bowling League
and enjoyed bowling with all her friends. Kathryn loved
camping at Fundy National Park and made many treasured memories with
her family over the years in Alma. She is now at peace with
her Lord and Saviour.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter,
Maureen Chimbo (Okezie) of Dartmouth, NS; sons,
Orville Steeves (Maria) of Salem and
Arnold Steeves of Hillsborough; her
treasured grandchildren, Erin (Mark), Nathaniel (Tanya) and Emily
(Jonathan); precious great grandchildren, Jacob , Ashlynn and Quinn;
sisters, Rita Renton (Al)
of Riverview and Ardeth Allen
(Jack) of Riverview; brothers, Cyril Carlin (Sadie) of
Dartmouth, NS, Gerald Carlin (Pauline) of Hillsborough;
sister-in-law, Gerry Wood (wife of Donald) of Fredericton.
She will also be sadly missed by several nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband,
Bruce O. « Dint » Steeves and brothers, Douglas
(Diana) and Donald.
There will be visitation at the Albert County Funeral Home
an hour prior to the funeral service. The funeral service
will be at the Albert County Funeral Home on Friday, January19th, 2018
at 2:00pm at with Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Following the
service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for
further sharing of memories and refreshments at the funeral home.
Interment will be held in the Grey’s Island
Cemetery, Hillsborough at a later
date.
For those who wish donations to the charity of the donor’s
choice would be greatly appreciated.
The family would like to take this time to say a special
thank you to all the staff at Forest Dale Home for the exceptional
care given to Kathryn. The support and kindness shown was greatly
appreciated and will never be forgotten.
