OBITUARY
Kathleen Mary Brown
June 28, 1921 – November 8, 2018
BROWN, Kathleen Mary (nee Wallington)
Kathleen lately of Chilliwack, B.C. has left this
earthly life to join her beloved Husband of 40 years,
John Kenneth Brown, who passed away April 7th,
2016. She was in her 97th year and passed
peacefully on November 8th, 2018, after a brief
time in the Chilliwack General Hospital.
Kathleen was born to William Wallington and Minnie
Lane of London and Kent, England and with her
parents moved to Canada when she was a year
and a half old. She grew up in the West End of
Vancouver worked briefly at the old Spencer’s
store on Hastings. The last 40 years she lived in
Edgemont Village, North Vancouver. She was a
long time member of the Canyon Heights Church
and found much happiness and spirituality with her
church members.
As a stay at home Mom she had a special kind of
love for babies and children of any age. The
sweetest babysitter for all of us. She had a sunny
disposition and would cook or bake anything at the
drop of a hat for all the grandchildren or great
grandchildren.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Lani (Len),
grandchildren Lee, Ric (Sharon) and Lynn (Tom).
Also her great grandchildren Christina (Peter), John
(Megan), Danielle, Michelle and Andrew, and her
great delight, her Great Granddaughters, Anastasia
and Isabella.
Please join us in a celebration of Kathleen’s life at
Boal Chapel on Sunday, November 25th at 2pm.
