It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our darling mother Kathleen. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Albert Anstey, her husband John (Jack) Grenning, his parents Isabelle and Jim Grenning, her brothers Norman Myles, Peter Anstey, her sister Margaret Yetman, grandchildren Brian and Mary Kate Fleming, and special friend Peter Sears. Leaving to mourn are her children Margie (Brian Hanley), Yvonne (Brian Fleming), Greg (Ann Marie), Maureen (Paul Kidney), Catherine (Noel Kelly), John (Theresa), Donna (Derrick Lee), Barry (Donna), Isabelle (Terry Quinlan), Lisa (Rod Burton) and Jody O’Rourke (Jim Swyer), 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, brothers Ben Anstey (Katrina), Albert Anstey (Patsy) and Jack Anstey, sisters Carrie Walsh, Harriett Mahon and Celeste Mitchell (Edward). Special family friends Liz Callahan and Geraldine Evoy and her numerous friends at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 1. Warm thanks to Ann Wade and Dawn O’Rielly for their wonderful care during mom’s illness. Sincere thanks to the staff at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home 3EW for their kind and gentle care during Mom’s short stay. We would also like to thank the staff of 4 South B HSC for their care and devotion. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Wednesday from 1 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Thursday from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, June 8, 2018 at a time to be announced from St. Patrick’s Church, Patrick Street. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Field of Honor, James Lane. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Dementia Care/Alzheimer’s Society.
