Katherine « Kaye » Laura Tozer
1926-2017
Bathurst- Sadly,
Katherine « Kaye » Tozer, of Youghall Dr., passed away at
Chaleur Regional Hospital on November 17, 2017 following a brief
illness. A longtime resident of Bathurst, Kaye will be
dearly missed by her husband of 68 years, Donald « Don »
Tozer; her son, Dale (Linda) of Coquitlam, B.C. and
her daughter, Paula Tozer of Ottawa,
Ont.
Born in Bartibog Bridge, N.B., Kaye was one
of 11 siblings born to the late James and Alice (Mahoney)
Savage.
She is survived by one sister, Marion
Arsenault of Miramichi, N.B. and large extended family both in the
Miramichi and across Canada.
Married in 1949, Kaye and Donald moved to
Bathurst where Don had a successful career in the pulp and paper
industry. Kaye was avid contributor to the Bathurst
community. She was a founding member of the Bathurst Hospitality Days
Organizing Committee in the 1970’s and supported the work of
the Canadian Association for Community Living for many
years. Always an avid reader, Kaye also enjoyed curling, her
home and her garden.
Following cremation, a memorial service at
Highland View Cemetery in East Bathurst on Sunday June 17, 2018,
followed by a reception from the Atlantic Host Hotel, 1450 Vanier
Blvd. in Bathurst.

Kaye’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or
a charitable organization of your
choice.
The family also wants to express their gratitude
to the doctors and staff at Chaleur Regional Hospital (2nd West and
Palliative Care Unit) and the Clinique Médicale Nepisiquit
for their care and support.
