Karen Rosalie « Rose » Boivin
Boivin , Karen Rosalie “Rose” age 68, of Cole Harbour, passed away June 12, 2018 in the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Middle Musquodoboit, she was the daughter of Rena (Newhook) Russell and the late Raymond Russell.
Rose was a proud navy wife and the family spent many years living in Montreal, Ottawa and Dartmouth. She enjoyed working in retail most of her life. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. Her favorite pastime was preparing wonderful meals for her family and friends. Rose was always cheerful and had a kind word and a smile for everyone she met. She revelled in her role as grandmother to Brysen. A wonderful daughter, mother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed.
Rose is survived by her daughter Monika Boivin, Dartmouth; son Donald Boivin, Montreal; Grandson Brysen Wood, Dartmouth.
She is also survived by her sister Cathy Russell , Halifax and several nieces and nephews.
Rose was predeceased by husband Claude Boivin; son Paul Boivin and sister Anita Russell
Funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday June 16th in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville, Rev. Ellen Wilson officiating, with a reception to follow. Burial in Oakridge Memorial Gardens, Middle Sackville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada
