Karen Dawn Ree (nee King)
August 21, 1964 – May 30, 2018
Karen lived a full life and was a bundle of energy. If she was your friend she was there for life. Karen grew up in Charleswood and later moved to Ile Des Chenes in 1972, where she remained.
Karen is survived by her husband Vern, son Devon, step-daughters Cyndy and Judy and Boots (her beloved Border Collie). She will also be missed by her mother Joan King, brothers Keith (Cheryl), Willie (Linda) and sisters Paula and Sharon (Kevin) as well as many nieces and nephews who she loved and adored. She was predeceased by her father Bill.
Karen started her work life in the restaurant her mother owned and then went on to work at Food Systems in the cafeteria of Pollard Bank Note. She joined Pollard 2 years later where she enjoyed making the 25 year club, she was very proud to be part of that company and loved working there.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 7 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
