Obituary of June Elson
Passed peacefull away at the Carmelite House Palliative Care Unit in Grand Falls-Windsor, June Ella Elson at the age of 72 years. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, and two brothers. Left to mourn are daughters, Suzette (Jamie) George, Sandra (Tony Bates) Bursey; and Shelley (Steve) Totarella. Also left to mourn sister, Judy Clancy; brother, Rex Clancey; five grandchildren, Megan George, Erin George, Sean Totarella, Alex Totarella, and Lucas Totarella; special friend Monnie Moores, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.
June was an active volunteer at the Salvation Army Thirft store in Grand Falls-Windsor alongside her dear friend, Monnie. She worked as an LPN for Central Health for over 40 years before she retired. June was a very creative person, she enjoyed cake decorating, carpentry projects, quilting, knitting and sewing. She also enjoyed shopping trips and travelling all over the world. Her pride and joy was without a doubt, her five grandchildren whom she loved with all of her heart. June was a special woman and will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Donations can be made in June’s memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
