June Henwood
June passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus at the Red Deer Hospice on July 22, 2018 at 91 years of age.
She was predeceased by her loving husband George and son in-law Laurence Leischner and 2 great grandchildren Austin Sheehan and Jace Pushak.
George and June were married in Portage la Prairie in June of 1945 then moved to Red Deer shortly after where she has resided until her passing. June was a quiet lady devoted to her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, neighbors, close friends and the Nazarene church which she attended for almost 70 years.
She is survived by her 6 kids Maureen (Ted) Leischner-Thompson, Brock (Pearl) Henwood, Dale (Barb) Henwood, Karen (Rolly) Cowan, Brenda (Bill) Winter, Mark Henwood, 17 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at First Church of Nazarene, 2 McVicar Street, on Thursday, July 26, at 2:00p.m. with Pastor Dale Fallon Officiating.
