1958-2018
It is with heavy hearts that we had to say goodbye to our sister Julie. Julie passed away at the Timmins and District Hospital on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the age of 60 years. She is survived by her siblings; Helen Spelich (John) of Orono, ON, Ingrid Rasmussen and David Rasmussen of South Porcupine, ON, her nieces; Leah Mageau (Yves) of Bowmanville, ON and their children Connor and Matthew; Kelly St-James (Tom) of Orono and their children Gregory and Brittany. Predeceased by her grandparents Marko and Marie Gerovitz and Robina and Sophius Rasmussen, her parents Helen (Hodzic) and Julius “Salty” Rasmussen and her brother Albert “Butch” Rasmussen. Julie was very artistic and her pencil sketches and crafts were beautiful. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of TDH for their care and support over the past 8 months. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel (Rev. Iris Montague officiating). A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kinette Club of Timmins, the Timmins Humane Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
