The family of the late Julie Walters (nee Osmond) announces her peaceful passing at the Long Term Care unit at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 at the age of 94 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL. Julia was the daughter of the late George and Lillian Osmond. Se was also predeceased by her husband Frederick Walters; sisters Hazel (William) Downey, Lucy (Larry) Temple, Rose (James) Carter; brothers George (Dorothy) Osmond, Nelson (Annie) Osmond; son-in-laws Gordon Hatch, Walter Kettle and brother-in-law Leslie Chaulk.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving daughters Sylvia Hatch of Corner Brook, NL, Nancy Kettle of MacDougalls, NL; sister Vivian Chaulk of Port aux Basques, NL; grandchildren Karen Kettle (David Gibb) of Port aux Basques, NL, David (Krista) Hatch of Corner Brook, NL, Kelly Hatch (Terry Young) of London, Ont, Randy Kettle (Caroline Allan) of Mississauga, Ont, Kim Kettle (Chris Devereaux) of MacDougalls, NL; great-grandchildren Amber Kettle (Lucas Thomas) of Port aux Basques, NL, Riley Kettle of Mississauga, Ont, Tyler Hatch of Corner Brook, NL. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 16th, 2018 from 7-9 pm continuing on Friday, August 17th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. in Port aux Basques, NL. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 18th, 2018 at 2 pm from St. James Anglican Church officiated by Rev. Eddie Coleman with interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Julia’s memory can be made to the Long Term Care unit at the Dr. Charles L LeGrow Health Centre.
