Juanita Elliott
Juanita Florence Elliott – 86, Murray Siding, Col. Co., passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Economy Point, N.S. she was a daughter of the late Alton and Sylvia (Morrison) Currie.
Juanita was employed for many years with Polymer in Truro. She had a variety of interests, especially sewing, quilting, knitting and reading. She also enjoyed playing cards and a good cup of tea. She will be fondly missed by her special cat, “Trooper”.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda MacIntosh, Murray Siding, Andrea (Martin) Elliott-Fry, Bedford; grandchildren; Jared (Karen) MacKenzie; Jillian (Fred) Hamilton; Jamie (Samantha) MacIntosh; great granddaughter, Freya; sister, Viola Olsen, Parrsboro; many nieces and nephews who were also very important to her.
Besides her parents, Juanita was predeceased by husband, Alvin; daughter, Patricia MacKenzie (Duane Brown); infant granddaughter, Jessica; brothers, Stewart, Howard, Frank, Laurie; sisters, Susan, Jean, Agnes, Georgie, Dorothy, Edna, Clara.
In keeping with her wishes, Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Committal Service will be held Saturday, July 28th at 2pm in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations may be made to the Colchester Branch SPCA or charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
