Joyce Miriam Hinchey
1926-2018
Joyce Miriam Hinchey (nee
Coy) departed this life January 3, 2018, to go to a location she saw
just before death and cheerfully described as « a pretty nice
place ».
Born March 26, 1926, she
lived to see much travel and to loved her family and friends dearly
but also those who were afraid or in need. We shall miss her sense of
humor, her ability to see the positive in anything, her ability to
teach and to laugh, her interest in genealogy, her love of curling,
baseball (Blue Jays), bird watching, flower gardening, cribbage,
cooking, sewing, picking berries, her playfulness, her integrity, her
dignity and her strength.
She is predeceased by her
husband Francis, her parents and several sisters and
brothers.
Her children Dale, Kate,
Debbie, many friends and relatives, her sister, two
brothers, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will
cherish her always. She loved each and every one of
you.
Her family would like to
extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Fredericton
Community Palliative Care Program and to the staff of Hospice House
Fredericton, with special thanks to Dr. Bea Sainz and Fr. Kevin
Stockall.
Cremation has taken place and
according to Joyce’s wishes, there will be a small family
service at a later date.
Those who wish, can donate to
Fredericton Hospice House, St. Mary’s Anglican Church or The
Shriners Hospital for Children.
And yes Mum, you kept a good
household.
