Obituary for Joyce Geraldine Upton (Meyers)
UPTON: Joyce Geraldine – peacefully at her home, Woodville, in her 89th year on Saturday, January 13, 2018. Daughter of Isaac and Ellen Meyers, Joyce was predeceased by her parents and her siblings Leslie, Beatrice, Florabel, Harold, Yvonne and June. She is survived by her sisters Irene Boyle and Ruth Davies (Howie) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands Clifford Gordon Hendry (1953) and Lloyd George Upton (2006) and her sons Bruce Hendry (1950) and Gerald Hendry (2017). Survived by her children Leona and Heather Hendry of Belleville, Donna Vanderyagt (Graham Gusterson) of Fenelon Falls, Tom Upton (Judy) of Lindsay, Harry Upton (Janet) of Kirkfield, Margaret Graham-Upton of Woodville, Ken Upton (Darlyne Cornell) of Woodville and by her honourary children Ron and Mary Anne MacEachern of Woodville. Joyce leaves her grandchildren who brought her immense joy and pride, Tanya Cameron (Bruce), Shawn Vanderyagt (Melissa), Josh Upton, Jessica Upton (Matt Tengelics), Marie TenHove, Melissa TenHove, Grace TenHove-Edwards (Chris), Rebecca Irvine (Terry), David Graham (Carly Roy), Rosalee Graham, Katrina Upton, Kris Upton, Kassidy Upton, Melissa MacMillan (Clayton), Rachael Giles (PJ) and Jonathan MacEachern (Olivia Jones), her great-grandchildren Sydney and Reid Cameron, Taylor and Abby Vanderyagt, Gage, Mia and Lincoln MacMillan, Nathan and Kendra Giles, Deliah MacEachern and many others to whom she was “Gramma Joyce”. Family and friends will be received at the Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton on Tuesday from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the Woodville United Church on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 1 pm (there will be visitation from 12 noon). Interment Stone Church Cemetery, Beaverton.
